Mid-calf is the most versatile height, and by far the most represented in our collection. It comes up to the middle of the leg, just below the knee and well above the ankle.

The "default" sock: the one that goes with trousers as well as shorts, with a suit as well as jeans. One out of two LBC socks is mid-calf.

Mid-calf socks come up to mid-leg, just below the knee and well above the ankle. This is our most versatile height, and by far the most represented in our collection.

Why they dominate

One out of two LBC socks is mid-calf. It makes sense: it's the length most brands (Dedoles, Many Mornings, Sock Affairs, Pirin Hill) produce by default. And it's also the one that stays in place without constricting or slipping.

What to wear them with?

Everything. Really. Suit trousers, straight-leg jeans, chinos, shorts above the knee, skirts below the knee. For the office, we have a classic office socks collection that includes more subdued mid-calf styles. For the wildest patterns, check out the fancy socks collection.

Their place in the range

Mid-calf socks are part of the standard socks collection along with short socks. If you want higher, head to the over-the-calf socks which come up just below the knee.
